We keep this simple. Here's what happens to the details you give us on this website.

What we collect

• If you send us a message: your name, email and what you write.
• If you apply to work with us: your name, mobile, email, cover letter, CV and anything else you choose to tell us.
• Our website uses cookies to see how many people visit, and Google reCAPTCHA to block spam.

Please don't put sensitive details (health information, tax file number, passport or date of birth) in your CV.

Why

To reply to you, to consider your application and call you, and to keep the website running and secure. We don't sell your details and we don't use them for marketing.

Who sees them

Our directors, admin and the team leaders who help with recruiting. We also use online services to run the business, such as GoDaddy and Google (email, Drive and spreadsheets), and some of them may store data outside Australia. We use software to help sort and summarise applications, but a person decides who we contact.

How long we keep it

We delete applications that don't go ahead after about 12 months.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold, fix it or delete it, any time. Use the form on our Contact page, email admin at blackboat dot au, or write to the P.O Box above. If something's gone wrong, tell us and we'll look into it.

Cookies

You can switch cookies off in your browser, but parts of the site might not work as well. We link to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, and we don't control how they handle your details.
