Blackboat was founded in 2018 in Melbourne, Australia. Blackboat’s founder, Matthew Perrin, has more than a decade of experience in face-to-face sales and fundraising around the world. Matthew was named Fundraiser of the Year by the PFRA for 2023. As a former commercial pilot and elite sports person, Matthew started his career in the face-to face industry in 2014 as a multi year global top seller for a large international company in London, UK. He held a role for the company in Sweden, and for more than six years successfully mentored many professional salespeople throughout the UK, Sweden and Australia. 

In 2018, Blackboat was born as a sales company. Two years later, Blackboat took a new trajectory into the world of face-to-face fundraising.  From 2020, Blackboat has represented multiple charities with the highest quality results and trained many professional fundraisers along the way. 

At Blackboat, we pride ourselves on ethical delivery of our service. We strictly adhere to the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association guidelines to ensure every stake holder in the chain, from donor to fundraiser to charity, gets the best possible outcome.  We are morally driven, value based and always deliver to the highest standards. Our training is structured and complete to ensure consistent positive outcomes. We are a high functioning team of like-minded people who support each other in every way.
